The traveler's palm is used for landscaping in warm locations. It likes full sun and good drainage, and blooms year round. Reaches 30-40 feet tall. Propagated by seed or division. The inflorescence is huge, and looks like a giant heliconia. Sometimes used as a cut flower for giant arrangements.
