Heliconia stricta 'Valentine' (Heliconiaceae) 

    'Valentine'  is a smaller sized heliconia, around 3-4 feet tall.  Can grow in partial shade to full sun, and will bloom in a pot.  Blooms in winter and spring, right around Valentine's Day.  Bracts are solid bright red, with a thin green border.
