Heliconia stricta 'Oriole Orange' (Heliconiaceae) 

    Small heliconia, about 3-5 feet tall, with a very large flower for the plant's size.  The plump bracts are a bright orange red color, suffused with hot pink toward the tips.  The border is green, fading into a pale lemon near the rachis.  Grows well in partial to full shade.  Blooms from January to June.  Plant habit is open and spreading.
