Heliconia schiediana (Heliconiaceae) 

      Heliconia schiediana is a medium sized erect heliconia, about 6-8 feet tall, and has petite solid red bracts and bright yellow true flowers.  Grows well in shade to partial shade.  Blooms from May through October.  Reportedly one of the most cold tolerant heliconias.
