'Misahualli' differs from the typical form of Heliconia rostrata in that it has wider bracts spaced closer on the rachis, giving it a more impressive appearance. It is of medium size, about 6-8 feet tall, and has spectacular bright red bracts with yellow tips and a thick green border. 'Misahualli' blooms from March through July in Puerto Rico.
