Heliconia psittacorum x spathocircinata 'Tortuga' (Heliconiaceae) 

     'Tortuga', also known as 'Golden Torch Adrian', is a very productive and vigorous plant.  It is a natural hybrid between Heliconia psittacorum and Heliconia spathocircinata.  Bracts are bright red with golden orange tips.  Grows well in partial shade to full sun.  Plant habit is erect, from 5-6 feet tall.  Blooms year round.  Easy to flower in a pot.
