Heliconia platystachys (Heliconiaceae) 

    Heliconia platystachys is sometimes called 'Sexy Orange'.  It is a beautiful hanging heliconia.  Flowers are long, with red-orange bracts tipped with bright yellow.  It grows 8-10 feet tall.  Blooms from July through November.  It is a produces prolific amounts of bright blue fruits, and the seeds germinate readily.
