Heliconia marginata (Heliconiaceae) 

      Heliconia marginata has a beautiful clear yellow pendent inflorescence.  It grows 6-8 feet tall, and prefers full sun and moist soil, even growing in swampy areas and as an emergent plant at the water's edge.  Blooms from May to September in Puerto Rico.
