Heliconia magnifica (Heliconiaceae) 

      Heliconia magnifica is a beautiful hanging heliconia of medium size, about 6-8 feet tall, and has solid dark red bracts with white hairs.  Grows well in shade to partial shade.  Blooms from May through September.
