Heliconia latispatha 'Fat Lat' (Heliconiaceae) 

'Fat Lat' is a beautiful medium sized heliconia, about 6-7 feet tall.  It has bright orange-red bracts suffused with lighter orange, with an orange rachis.  Grows well in sun to partial shade.  Blooms from May through August in Puerto Rico.  Has some cold tolerance.
