Heliconia episcopalis 'Yellow Spear' (Heliconiacaeae)

Heliconia episcopalis 'Yellow Spear' has an unusual arrangement of tight bracts of a solid gold yellow color.  Grows well in partial shade to full sun.  Plant habit is erect, from 6-8 feet tall.  Blooms year round, and each inflorescence lasts for months.
