Heliconia episcopalis 'Red and Orange Spear' (Heliconiacaeae)

Heliconia episcopalis 'Red and Orange Spear' has an unusual arrangement of tight bracts, pinkish red toward the base with orange yellow tips.  Grows well in partial shade to full sun.  Plant habit is erect, from 6-8 feet tall.  Blooms year round, and each inflorescence lasts for months.
