'Bonnie Kline' is a new heliconia cultivar, discovered by Emilia Ballester on her farm in Puerto Rico, and named after her best friend. 'Bonnie Kline' has bright lime green bracts changing to bright yellow at the base, with the interior of the bracts a striking purple color. Similar to other Heliconia caribaea cultivars, it is an upright plant reaching 6-8 feet in height. Grows well in sun to partial shade. Blooms primarily from May through August in Puerto Rico.
