Heliconia bihai 'Nappi' (Heliconiaceae) 

    'Nappi' has colorful flowers; a green-bordered bract followed by a thick yellow band, then changing to bright red at the base and rachis.  The plant is vigorous, erect and clumping, from 6-8 feet tall.  Can grow in partial shade to full sun.  Blooms from March through July.
