Heliconia angusta 'Orange Christmas' (Heliconiaceae) 

    'Orange Christmas' is a striking bright orange heliconia which blooms from December to March.  A vigorous plant and prolific bloomer, 3-4 feet tall.  Can grow in partial shade to full sun, and will bloom in a pot.  The pale yellow true flowers and ovaries contrast nicely with the orange bracts.
