A gorgeous shade loving plant, with blooms 1-2 feet tall. Upper bracts are have bright purple tips with white bases, and lower bracts are a striking apple green. The true flowers are pale yellow, and peek out from the bracts. Blooms from December through March, followed by leaf emergence. Huge basal leaves die back around October or November, and the plant stays dormant until it blooms, when the foliage appears again. Propagated by division.
