Coccoloba sintenisii (Polygonaceae)
Coccoloba sintenisii is known in Puerto Rico as "uvero de monte", or mountain grape. Produces beautiful, bright red flowers on separate male and female plants (dioecious). New growth is a striking wine red color. Grows on mountain slopes in full sun to partial shade, flowering and fruiting several times a year.
