Alpinia purpurata 'Anne Hironaka' (Zingiberaceae) 

'Anne Hironaka' was bred in Puerto Rico by Paul Yoshioka, and is a seedling of 'Jungle Queen'.  It has a round inflorescence with white bracts suffused with pale pink.  Grows in full sun to partial shade and blooms year round.  Reaches 8-10 feet in height.
